Because I Am Deaf

Because I Am Deaf

Because I am deaf
I cannot hear
the words that float
from your mouth.

Because I am deaf
I cannot hear
the horns of fast moving cars
or the screams of angry people.

Because I am deaf 
I cannot hear 
the voices of the angels
that have come to help me.
