Memories Gone By
They sit alone a-top this place.
The lines in their faces' marked
their disgrace's.
No one can see from far below,
The tears coursing down,
dissipating as they go.
Cutting their trail through life's
sorrows they sail. Never stopping
to bid back their farewell.
Oh the stories that they could tell.
Surly we know some very well.
Of dragons we slew, and Kingdoms
we knew; those hopes gone askew.
This rhyme marches on as the moments
in time. We look to the wonder of our God
up above, and know that the healing
lies only with love.
